Background:
Our client is a world leading company aspiring to be the best in the discovery and development of important therapeutics. They are currently seeking a Communications Intern for a 12 month contract at their Cambridge location.
This would be an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to gain internal communications experience within the healthcare environment.

JOB ROLE:
The Communications Intern will have responsibility for driving the internal communications and employee engagement programme across the business.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Writing and development of an employee e-newsletter including company updates, spotlight interviews on leadership team members, articles on CSR endeavours, etc
Management and creation of news articles for company intranet site
Liaising on company initiatives and ensuring local implementation
Participation in a committee with a specific role to develop further local charity partnerships and set up employee volunteering projects
Management of internal engagement & communications events and awareness day events

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Communications based degree studies
PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Excellent English, written and spoken
Very strong communications skills (written & spoken)
Ability to build relationships with people and work with individuals at all levels of the business
Good Microsoft skills in all the of the office suite but particularly Word & PowerPoint
