Background:The Database Coordinator maintains and manages key customer databases used to track, manage and record the review process for developing medical publications. This role requires a candidate who truly understands the importance and value of detail. The ability to multi-task whilst maintaining a supreme attention to detail level is paramount. To track and effectively deliver the high throughput of publications requires concentration, forward planning, organizational, logistical and communication skills, and the candidate will be required to demonstrate.
Main duties include:
-sending review correspondence and reminders to authors & client reviewers
-answering client queries related to the database
-proactively maintain databases across multiple client companies, to consistently high quality
-accurately adhering to detailed processes.
The ideal candidate needs the ability to gain strong understanding of rationale behind fields within databases and through this proactively maintain data within the databases.
An understanding of medical communications or medical publishing processes would be an advantage but is not essential.
During quieter periods, the database coordinator may provide support to rest of business (eg editorial assistants, client services and medical information services.
