The opportunity
Our client is part of a rapidly growing independent medical communications group and is looking to recruit a talented Deputy Editorial Director to join their expanding team at one of their businesses in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills across a wide range of scientific content for leading pharmaceutical groups, while managing and further developing an existing team of qualified writers and editors. You will report directly to a Managing Director and thus have direct influence in running and shaping the editorial function/team.
The ideal candidate
- Significant previous editorial experience in an integrated medical communications environment working with leading pharmaceutical groups
- In-depth therapeutic knowledge and the ability to quickly grasp additional areas
- A scientific expert adept at client liaison and relationship building
- Excellent people management ability
- Broad ranging and in-depth editorial, strategic and scientific experience
- Strategic publications planning experience
- Outstanding organisational,influencing and communications skills
- A Life Sciences degree and PhD
