Freelance Editorial Director, Medical Communications Agency

Background:
This role is a new requirement for a highly experienced medical writing professional to join a medical communications in a short term freelance assignment. This role would ideally suit a freelancer that is happy to work in-house, 5 days a week for a number of months, or an experienced medical writer that has experience at a senior level that is looking to return to work after a career break.

In this position you will take the reins of the agency''s medical writing team for a number of months, working to ensure the smooth running of the department during your time there. Your role will be overseeing, reviewing and providing direction, as opposed to taking on a large amount of writing yourself. You will have a team leader working with you to help direct the work of junior writers, whilst you will also collaborate with the client services team on upcoming pitches and attempts to retain existing clients. The assignment will initially last three months but could be extended beyond this time.

To be considered for this position it will be necessary to have a background working at a senior level within medical writing.
