Section Manager - Regulatory (Global) - Available to be based across Europe

SCJ are working in Collaboration with NonStop Recruitment Ltd to source a competent individual with a solid understanding of European Regulatory Affairs from a compliance perspective. This broad European Regulatory knowledge can stem from but is not restricted solely to:
o REACh (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation of Chemical & Hazardous Substances)
o DPD (Detergents Product Directive)
o CPD (Cosmetics Product Directive)
o BPD (Biocides Product Directive)
The company seeks an individual that is not necessarily in-depth in one area but more focused with a broader skill set. Reporting to the Director of GSRA, you will work in more of a support function rather than one that is micro managed.
You will manage/coordinate functional activities within Global Safety and Regulatory Affairs (GSRA). You will be required to play an active role in managing Global Compliance issues with no registration requirements. Part of the responsibilities will also include auditing for Suppliers. There will be 2 direct reports.
A degree within Chemistry, Toxicology or related area
A Strong background in European Regulatory Compliance is required. Global compliance experience is not necessary but is welcomed.
Knowledge of any of the following: REACh; Biocides (BPD); Detergents (DPD); and Cosmetics.
If an individual from a Trade Association background wishes to apply then this will be welcomed.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate significant leadership skills. This will supersede technical expertise and people management skills. SCJ require an individual to display adequate level of People Management skill. However, this does supersede leadership skills. Applications must be able to demonstrate examples of strong leadership skills as well as a background in Regulatory Compliance
The position is to ideally be based at the site in Frimley. However, the position can also be based in Netherlands, Germany, Italy or Spain.
