Laboratory Scientist (Immunoassay) - Fixed Term Contract

Background:
Our client, a leading global CRO, provides a comprehensive range of services in Phase I-IV clinical trials to the biopharmaceutical and device industries. They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Laboratory Scientist, to work within their Immunoassay laboratory. This is a fixed term contract position to be based in Manchester.

JOB ROLE:
Custom Immunoassay Development and Validation
Transferring of Proprietary Assays
Commercial Immunoassay Kit Qualification
PK Assessments of Biologicals
Immunogenicity Assessments of Biologicals
Biomarker/Pharmacodynamic Assessment

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Analysis of clinical and pre- clinical samples
Ensuring the study plan is followed and carried out to GLP/GCP
Ensuring all analytical data reported is reliable
Responding to QA audit reports
Developing and validating analytical methods
Maintenance of analytical equipment
Immunoassay trouble shooting

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
BSc/HND or equivalent in Biological Science
You will need experience in Immunoassay techniques (ELISA) and prior relevant experience of working in a GLP environment, however, full training will be provided.

PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision, organises and manages large quantities of documentation, and has excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail a must.
