An independent medical communications agency with offices in Kent and Central London is looking for a Managing Director to take over the running of one of their main business units. Over the last couple of years the agency has seen a year on year growthand this year alone has experienced a 66% increase in turnover. As a result they are expanding their team with larger London offices along with a brand new New York office launched last year.
The agency has an extremely exciting client and product list and it is currently working with four of the top six pharmaceutical companies(some on a preferred supplier basis)for whom is has contracts on 5 pre-launch blockbuster products due to be launched within the next couple of years. Very few agencies can offer such an excitingportfolio of work!!
Reporting to the group managing director the ideal candidatewill have a life sciences degree and between 5 - 10 years’ experience working with in a leading medical communications agency and dealing with top 10 pharmaceutical
Another key responsibility will be to strategically drive forward a client services team that is responsive to client needs interms of skill level and delivery of projects and programmes to the highest possible standards. This will include ensuring an effective interface between operational areas of the business (such as Emedia) and integration of assigned editorial resources.
In essence the agency is looking for someone with the ability and motivation to not only grow with them but to grow with them in the right way. They are aware of the potential pitfalls of successful, rapidly growing companies and are very keen to get someone on board who recognises these and is able to work with them installing and implementing procedures to prevent such an eventuality.
In return the agency can offer a basic salary in and around £100K with an excellent bonus and benefits scheme.
