Background:
Our client, a world leading pharmaceutical company, discovers, develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of innovative, value-added pharmaceutical products for both humans and animals around the world. They are currently seeking a Medical Advisor within the Primary Care Business Unit for a 3 month contract at 3 days a week at their location in Surrey.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Sign-off and approval of marketing materials or activities
Provision of medical insight and expert opinion as appropriate
Attendance at meetings requiring medical input, support or representation (this may include UK travel)
Training and support of other employees
Input and guidance to clinical trial activity and the management of independent research grants and associated budgets
Support of colleagues (marketing, market access, medical and field-based medical)
Review and input to regulatory documents and strategy as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Fully qualified Medical Doctor
GMC Registration within Medical Affairs
Member of Professional Body preferable (eg FPM, RCP, RCGP etc)
Strong experience working with the UK ABPI Code of Practice
Final Code signatory highly preferable
Strong understanding of Regulatory environment and key regulatory documents
Strong understanding of Pharmaco-vigilance and patient safety
