Background:
Our client is a leading global biopharmaceutical company. They are currently seeking a Medical Affairs Manager for a permanent position to be based in Berlin, Germany.
JOB ROLE:
The Medical affairs manager provides comprehensive medical and scientific support for our client''s product portfolio within a local operating company (LOC). Primary responsibilities include opinion leader development and management, scientific education for health care professionals, scientific education internal and external colleagues, and collaborative support for commercial activities.
As appropriate for the LOC, responsibilities also include ensuring adherence to applicable laws, codes and regulations.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Deliver quality medical education / scientific presentations in a variety of internal and external settings
Respond to requests for information from healthcare professionals
Provide medical and scientific training and updates to the sales forces
Provide speaker training for qualified speakers identified by the LOCs
Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence from multiple sources
Provide support in cross-functional therapeutic projects
Participate in internal project teams
Attend selected appropriate national and international professional meetings ,respond to medical and scientific questions and enhance the development of KOL relationships
Review and approve LOC promotional materials and activities ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and codes of practice
In collaboration with medical director identify, build, and leverage relationships with national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Completion of a MD, PhD or Pharm D graduate level degree or equivalent
Proficient in English language
PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Experience in pharmaceutical industry
Experience of providing scientific support
An established track record of effective and influential oral presentations within the healthcare profession
Experience with drug therapy positioning
Track record of providing scientific input and commercial collaboration
Knowledge of local, regional and international regulatory requirements as applied to product development, promotional activities, and pharmacovigilance
