Background:A leading privately owned international medical communication agency is looking for experienced medical writers to join its teams in its London and Cheshire offices. You will be working directly as part of a team that works on international accounts with leading global pharmaceutical companies.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
You will be expected to write to a high standard and to have the ability to think strategically. The roles require confident individuals who will be able to communicate daily with clients and international key opinion leaders.
You will work across a range of therapy areas, but of particular interest is experience and an interest in HIV/Aids. The type of work in which you will be involved includes publication plans, primary and secondary publications, competitor analyses, slide sets, product monographs and conferences (and all related materials).
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE SOUGHT:
You must have at least a BSc in a biological science, and preferably a PhD, (A PhD in an HIV/Aids related subject would be of particular interest) and ideally some commercial writing experience preferably within a medical communications agency, publication house or regulatory type role within the pharmaceutical industry. You must have the ability to get to grips with therapy areas outside of your particular expertise quickly, to write clearly and with scientific accuracy, and to brief and have an eye for detail. The ideal candidate should be able to use Word and PowerPoint effectively.
