Software Developer (Web and Mobile)

Our client is an international medical communications agency who are seeking an experienced software developer to join their team in Cheshire. You will be working over an interesting range of accounts and building both web and mobile platforms.

Purpose:

The software developer will focus on UK agency projects, including all elements of lifecycle:

• Input into proposal stage, budgeting and timelining of projects


• Specification development


• Programming and development in the following technologies: HTML/HTML5, Flash (AS3), JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, AJAX, Web Services to create web and mobile solutions


• Software testing


• Liaison with the commercial team, agency account management staff and end client

Responsibilities:

• Input into budgeting, timelines, brainstorming of ideas to meet client briefs


• Development of allocated software development projects, from detailed specification, through programming to technical test


• Report to the Senior Development Lead the status, risks and ongoing progress


• Liaise with Commercial team to work towards project goals and effectively deliver client projects


• Act as contact for commercial teams as digital development expert


• Resolution of ad hoc technical issues with in development or launched initiatives, incorporating a variety of web, mobile and multimedia projects

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Highly skilled in HTML, HTML5 and Flash


• Strong CSS 3 and JavaScript skills


• Good experience of working on mobile solutions


• Highly skilled in mobile and tablet website optimisation


• Strong Adobe Suite skills


• Experience of liaison with business teams and client interaction


• Experience in product specification, technical design and architecture


• Proven track record in development within a commercial setting


• Experience of producing mobile solutions using technologies such as Phone Gap, JQTouch, Sencha Touch


• Hands on experience of delivery of fluid layout website design


• Native application development including Objective C


• Good knowledge of design best practice for website and mobile solutions


• Experience with Final Cut Pro
