In a time of significant growth levels with the chemical and environmental industry, the company is capitalising with an expanding team and headcount approval to grow from 50 to 60.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a study director working within a team of 10, you will be moving into another growth area for the company where you will be expected to utilise and share your strong chemistry background.

This position will either develop into a Lead role or if your experience warrants, you will have a Lead role immediately.

As a Study Director within Environmental Sciences you will ensure that Physical Chemistry studies are carried out to the required standards and approve the study data.

You will be the main point of control and have overall responsibility for the scientific, technical and regulatory conduct of studies allocated to you as well as for the interpretation, documentation and reporting of results. Close and regular liaison with the client is of primary importance. Other responsibilities and duties will be.

To hold start-up and ongoing study meetings in order to be aware at all times of study status and anticipate problems that may affect timing, quality etc.

To produce study protocols and reports to meet client and regulatory requirements

To proactively manage client and study changes to meet timelines and ensure all additional costs are captured (work scopes)

To present and publish scientific posters and/or presentations at external meetings

To develop teamwork with study team, business development, QA and other departments while supporting and encouraging the development of team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have a BSC in Chemistry. Stronger academic experience is welcomed whilst industry experience substituting academic experience is also welcomed.

Strong chemistry / physical chemistry background. Technical background, Application at bench (academic) to move into a Study Director role will be considered.

Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness in what will be a consultative customer facing role.

Ability to motivate and lead others in a strong team environment

Must be able to display a strong GLP background
