We are seeking an experienced Writer/Editor to join a growing scientific publishing company based in Cheshire. Highly organized, enthusiastic, and with proven editorial and writing experience within science, technology or medicine, the right candidate must be able to successfully drive forward and manage print and digital content in a range of specialties.

As Commercial Editor, you will plan, edit and write out innovative client-sponsored content, ensuring that it is engaging, current and relevant to the target audience. Texere Publishing has developed a reputation for delivering commercial content with a difference. Tapping into the same flair and creativity as our editorial copy, we help companies communicate with their customers through entertaining and informative articles supplements, videos and more.

  • Work closely with editorial, sales and design teams.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and develop content that engages their target audience.
  • Plan, commission and edit sponsored articles for the digital and print components of the publication.
  • Effectively manage a high workload and competing priorities to ensure that all deadlines are met.

  • Be willing to travel globally to relevant conferences and client meetings as required.
  • Act as a representative and champion of our publication in the market.
  • Contribute to the ongoing strategy for commercial projects across the company.
  • Undertake additional editorial projects that support the mission of the publication.
This job description is intended as a general guide to the scope of the post and may change in line with company needs or at the request of the line manager.
