Clinical Compliance Officer

Job Details:

The Clinical Research Unit Cambridge(CUC) is based on a hospital site and conducts phase 1 clinical studies. This role involves dealing with clinical issues: organising investigation meetings, overseeing root cause analysis and corrective & preventative action planning, documentation & ensuring actions are completed on time. As part of a small compliance team enabling the CUC to operate to the highest standards, you will offer advice on quality/Compliance issues to a wide range of clinical/pharmaceutical personnel. You will also be involved in maintaining policies, working Instructions  and procedures, as well as supporting compliance training.


You will interact with a variety of clinical and scientific teams so good interpersonal skills is an asset, as well as the ability to conduct thorough investigations and ensure pragmatic solutions. You will have excellent attention to detail and written documentation skills, and be able to maintain and update databases.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and/or Good Manufacturing Practice, ethics and regulatory awareness would also be an asset for this role. Previous experience within a quality/compliance environment and/or the pharmaceutical industry is also an advantage. This position may suit someone with GCP/GMP experience wanting a career in quality and compliance.
