Proofreader / Editor looking for a new challenge in the medical communications sector?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Editorial Assistant to join an exciting, independent healthcare agency based in Cambridge. This is a brilliant opportunity for a passionate Editor to work across some really interesting materials, and to join a company who place a big emphasis career progression and their wonderful company culture.

As a Junior Editor you will support the writing team; proofing and editing on a wide range of medical communication projects and therapy areas to meet the client''s objectives. You will be responsible for the quality, scientific integrity and timeliness of your work. You will also support the wider team with the responsibility for the QC process of all materials leaving the company.

Responsibilities:
-Setting and maintaining standards of language, style and layout
-The quality, scientific integrity and timeliness of the agency''s work
-Writing and editing copy to ensure the quality of the team''s editorial output
-Consistently produce high quality work that is in line with client''s objectives and is correctly formatted with no typographical or grammatical errors
-Proofing and checking the accuracy of materials both internally and externally
-Referencing
-Planning and organising projects

Experience required:

-A minimum of one years editing experience within a publishing environment or a medical communications agency
-Excellent editorial and proofing skills with ability to adapt content and style to suit different audiences
-The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
-Good knowledge of Microsoft office.
