I have an excellent opportunity for an Patient Access to Care, Manager with one of the world''s most innovative pharmaceutical companies.


He/she will work cross functionally supporting initiatives that will facilitate patients accessing care. This role will work with a small team of PAC (Patient Access to Care) project managers and will need to work with all the functions involved with PAC to ensure strong alignment across the cross-functional team.

The successful candidate will be working in a fun and friendly environment where the successful candidate will be joining a truly reputed company reporting to the Associate Director for PAC.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify new opportunities and develop UK&I strategy to improve PAC
  • Regional accountability for engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the client and build trust and relationships with key commissioning stakeholders at a regional and local level
  • Ensure key insights are fed back to appropriate internal stakeholders
  • Build sustainable strategic relationships with key regional influencing centres that set guidance at a sub national level and have a broader national impact beyond the immediate local geography
  • Ensure optimum environment for the prescribing of the client medicine to ensure patients have appropriate access
  • Represent client and build relationships with relevant NHS stakeholders in order to ensure service/patient pathway challenges are identified and solutions implemented
  • To map the locality funding flows, decision making process and key commissioning stakeholders in order to inform and implement the business plan
  • Develop and implement partnership initiatives with customers where there is a prioritized patient need; principles of these initiatives are consistent with the franchise, business & account plan objectives
  • Measure progress of agreed key commissioning & service activities designed to improve the speed and ease of patient access and optimise patient care in line with agreed KPIs and project management principles
  • Create and maintain strategic and operational relationships with influential NHS customers; Translate and share key trends and market feedback with Business Leader & Market Access Excellence
  • To develop, maintain and share an excellent understanding of the NHS, enabling environmental assessment and develop insights and intelligence to facilitate competitive advantage and inform development of local market access tools and materials
  • To comply with appropriate external regulations- ABPI and client policies and procedures

  • Degree in related field (Science or Business) or equivalent educated desired
  • Market Access and/or Service Development experienced desirable
  • Understanding of the NHS and driving change within this environment
  • Strong understanding of industry code of conduct and key relevant legislation
  • Cross-functional leadership; ability to mobilise others and maximise their contribution to deliver the strategy
  • Excellent stakeholder management; ability to create and build relationships to become a valued partner in improving PAC
  • Strong commissioning experience in London to drive Service Development
  • Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the objective
