Job Details:

A new Paediatric Occupational Therapist role in Surrey is available within a nice team that helps children improve and brighten their lives.

A well-organised and professional company in Surrey has the aim to help children and young people perform daily activities despite their disabilities or conditions.

Now they are looking for a Core Occupational therapist or a Senior Occupational Therapist to be part of their organisation to provide their support to the children.

Job Type: Permanent, full time ( 3 days+ and ideally with the possibility to work on Saturdays)

Specialism: Paediatrics

Location: Surrey (bus stations and train stations really close to the location)

Job Summary:

- Working within a variety of settings including our specialist SI clinic, mainstream and special schools

- Collaborating with other professionals within the multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, social workers and paediatricians

- Administering a comprehensive selection of Assessments tools (both standardised and non-standardised assessment measures).

- Providing individual treatment and familial support/ intervention

- Providing 1:1 and group therapy to children on the caseload.

- Writing thorough clinical reports.

What you need for this role:

- Bachelor''s degree in Occupational Therapy - Essential

- Experience, knowledge and a strong passion for working with children and an interest in using a Sensory integration treatment approach - Essential

- Demonstrable knowledge in child development - Essential

- Strong communication skills - Essential

- Current HCPC registration and an enhanced DBS certificate - Essential

- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team - Essential

- Experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing difficulties, attachment difficulties. - Desirable

- Post graduate training in sensory processing - Desirable

- Experience working within the UK schooling system, including mainstream and special education settings - Desirable

- Experience contributing to Education Health and Care Plans - Desirable

- Experience working within a private practice - Desirable

Benefits:

- Salary: depending on experience and training Core Therapist salary band: £25,000 - £35,000 / Senior Therapist salary band: £35,000 -£45,000.

- An additional 10% salary payment is given for Saturday working

- training in Sensory Attachment intervention and the development off Multi-Disciplinary assessment and treatment services - if needed
