The Company

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with a focus on research and development of medical treatments for patients with life-threatening illnesses like cancer, infection and urgent transplants. They are looking for an interim QA Specialist to join their office in Surrey on an initial 6 month contract.

The Role

Support the Quality Management System and Quality Assurance activities of the APEL & APEBV Trading Parties and act on behalf of the registered Responsible Person by performing duties relating to wholesale distribution and active substance trading activities, which are financial in nature.

  • Wholesale Distribution Authorisations are maintained and their provisions met.
  • Appropriate standards of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) are maintained during procurement and supply activities.
  • An adequate quality management system in full alignment with corporate quality system is established and maintained.
  • Self-inspections are performed at appropriate regular intervals following a prearranged programme and necessary corrective measures are put in place.
  • Adequate records are maintained to support product traceability and GDP activities.
  • All relevant personnel are trained in GDP principles, their own duties, the risks of falsified medicines and the procurement and supply of products in relation to the scope of the financial procurement and supply activities of the APEL and APEBV Trading Parties.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating agreements with parties managing the physical handling and distribution of products to ensure GDP standards are suitably maintained such that operations do not compromise the quality of medicines.
  • Ensure suppliers and customers are appropriately qualified and assist in verifying their bona-fide credentials.
  • Ensure relevant customer complaints are dealt with effectively in accordance with the QMS procedures.

You

  • 3-4 years experience within a Quality function within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent knowledge of GDP regulations, QMS, self-inspections and procurement processes
  • Be a proactive, self-sufficient and adaptable team member
  • Be available to start a new role at short notice
