For one of our very close clients I am looking to hire a VP of Global Supply Chain, for one of their most important business units.

The successful candidate will define and manage annual financial budget for Supply Chain function for RRD, will manage the supply chain activities for all RRD portfolio (bulk, API, finished products): production planning, relationship with CMOs, internal manufacturing sites, replenishment, inventory, transportation.

The role will be responsible for one of the largest product franchises in the business and will cover critical supply needs for many countries including LATM, APAC and MEA. What we look for is someone with proven pharmaceutical supply chain experience who can fit in and adapt to a fast moving and start-up type atmosphere with complex products and supply chain issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the supply chain activities for all RRD portfolio (bulk, API, finished products): production planning, relationship with CMOs, internal manufacturing sites, replenishment, inventory, transportation
  • Lead a team responsible for planning, distribution, and logistics
  • Develop and implement division wide homogeneous methods and processes, and ensure that Global Supply Chain Planning policies are complied with
  • Build direct relationship with major stakeholders, suppliers, planning & logistics counterparts. Establish clear processes for monthly reviews. Monitor key Customers through intensive collaboration with commercial team and Manufacturing Sites.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Managament or Technical) or Scientifc Degree
  • Solid experience (8-10) in Supply Chain in global roles, familiarity to deal with different Contract Manufacturers / Countries
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to lead strategic internal and external negotiations and ability to independently negotiate on legal and commercial terms

Position is based in Switzerland, this role requires relocation within the European continent.
